Somoo expresses the women’s genital’s visual structure and decomposition through choreography.
It’s about feminism. It is a work that emphasizes the characteristics of biological sex rather than gender roles. Somoo expresses the women’s genital’s visual structure and decomposition through choreography. Female body as a subject, Somoo adds an element of fantasy through the collective memory of all the individual dancers with the twist of the choreographer’s own interpretation. After collecting various images of traditional Asian gestures (such as laying two palms together in front of the chest and bowing), it attempts to configure those movements into a visualization of the female genital.
